A North American-market display may work abroad, but its regional status, measurement units and language package must be assessed separately.

Identify the exact device
A seller description such as “US version” is not enough. Ask for the complete model name, screen size, software-information page and a photo of the language menu.
If the unit is already outside North America, record any exact warning and whether meters or Celsius can be selected. Do not install firmware from an unrelated model in an attempt to change the region.

GeoFence addresses compatible regional restrictions. Regional Language Pack activation adds a supported package using a personal Request Code. Russian or Ukrainian installation is a separate service for compatible models and software versions.
