1. Identify the display and network
Record the HDS PRO model, current version and connected modules. A display update can be only one part of a network-wide maintenance plan.
2. Back up user data
Export waypoints, routes and trails. Record important network and sonar-source settings.
3. Prepare stable power and media
Use a reliable power supply and suitable storage media. Keep the update file in the required location and preserve its original name.
4. Run the update
Follow the current on-screen and manufacturer instructions for the exact release. Do not interrupt power during writing or restart loops.
5. Verify connected functions
Check version, sonar, charts, networking, ActiveTarget or other modules, language and user data.
If the device is unstable before the updateRequest diagnostics first. Updating an unstable system can make recovery more difficult.
