1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy applies to the Lowrance Remote application, its agent and operator workflows, and related Lowrance Remote pages hosted on lowrance-simrad.com. Lowrance Remote is operated as an independent service tool. Privacy requests are handled at [email protected].
2. Data we may process
The categories processed depend on the feature you use and the information available during a service operation. They may include:
- account email and display or profile name;
- Google OpenID subject identifier when Google Sign-In is used;
- agent installation ID and platform or device information;
- Lowrance or Simrad model and device serial when supplied or read;
- registration and device association records;
- connection and session records;
- service operation status, history and diagnostic logs;
- security and audit events;
- technical network information, including IP address.
The related website may also process contact form details and, only after consent, analytics data as described by the website consent notice.
3. Google user data
Google Sign-In is being introduced only for authentication, account identity and linking multiple installations to the same Lowrance Remote account. The requested scopes are limited to:
openidfor a stable account identifier;emailfor the account email address;profilefor basic profile information.
Lowrance Remote does not receive or store your Google password. It does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, Google Calendar or any other Google API data beyond the scopes listed above.
Google user data is not used for advertising and is not sold. Access, use, storage and disclosure of Google user data are limited to the purposes described in this policy and are intended to comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. How data is used
Data is used only as needed to:
- authenticate a user and maintain account identity;
- link and manage application installations;
- register and associate compatible devices;
- establish and manage service connections;
- perform and record supported remote service operations;
- provide support and troubleshoot errors;
- protect the service and investigate security events;
- maintain operational and audit records.
5. Sharing, security and retention
Personal data is not sold. Data may be processed by infrastructure, hosting, email or support providers only when necessary to operate, maintain or secure the service, or when disclosure is required by applicable law. These providers are not permitted to use the data for independent advertising on behalf of Lowrance Remote.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to limit unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide, maintain and secure the service or as required by applicable law.
6. Your choices and requests
You may ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data. You may also ask questions about account linking or Google user data. Send the request from the email associated with your account when possible so that identity can be verified.
To stop using Google Sign-In, you may remove Lowrance Remote access in your Google account settings. This does not automatically delete records that must be retained for service security or applicable legal requirements; submit a deletion request for a full review.

This policy may be updated when the service or its data practices change. The current version and update date will remain published on this page.
